1998: Signed by the Storm on July 23...Did not take long to adjust to Arena Football, posting his first career AFL sack less than five minutes into the third quarter of his first game against Iowa (7/25)...The sack, on Iowa QB Aaron Garcia, came in the end zone and was good for a safety and a 51-17 Storm lead...Added three total tackles, two of which were unassisted...At Grand Rapids (8/1), he posted three total tackles, including one unassisted...Led all Storm linemen the postseason with nine total tackles, including four solos, two passes defensed and one sack, which came in the ArenaBowl XII disaster against Orlando (8/23)...In spite of the Storm's performance in that game, he performed at a stellar level, notching five total tackles and breaking up two passes in addition to the sack.

1999: Activated off of the Refused to Report list on April 23, just one day before the Storm's season opener against Albany...Posted an assist and broke up a pass against the Firebirds (4/24)...Five nights later at Milwaukee (4/29), he was an integral part of a strong Storm pass rush that consistently harrassed Mustang QB Todd Hammel...Goff accounted for two sacks, added three tackles and broke up a pass for the second game in a row...The two sacks were double his AFL total heading into the game...Notched three total tackles and broke up a pass in the 43-12 win over Florida (5/15).

Other Pro Experience: Drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1988, and spent two full seasons with the Bucs before being traded to New Orleans for a 10th round draft pick in 1990...Played with the Saints from 1990-95 as a part-time starter at nose tackle, helping the squad to three playoff appearances in that span...Signed by the Minnesota Vikings in the 1996 offseason.

College: Played at Auburn from 1984-1987.

Personal: Has four children: Robert Jr., 15; Nisha, 10; Miko, 9; and Elena, 5...Works at the Charter Behavioral Adolescent Center in Bradenton and serves as an assistant football coach at his alma mater, Bayshore High...Spent the offseason betwen the 1998 and 1999 seasons working as an extra on the Oliver Stone pigskin cinematic opus, On Any Given Sunday.
